His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 1:10-17

This morning’s verses speak of the motives. 

How are our motives being tested? If we have the heart for defending the weak. Because by defending the weak, in the natural, we may only spend our time not getting anything in return. It is purely sacrificial. The Lord is interested in our hearts, our souls, minds, wills, and emotions to grow because these are the areas that have eternal significance. (See 1 Corinthians 13:13)

Today, let us ask the Lord regarding our motives for ministry. Do we simply want to see our ministries grow, increase, prosper, or do we want to experience our souls to prosper through trials and tests, fighting the good fight of faith? (See 1 Timothy 6:12, Romans 5:3-5)
