His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 1:21-31

This morning’s verses speak of trials that are used to refine and grow our character. 

How is God trying to refine our characters? Through trials that produce perseverance. Through these trials, we can choose to focus on character growth while experiencing pressures from various angles. It may not be a comfortable experience, but we can still choose to have faith in the Lord and find assurance in eternal salvation. (See Romans 5:3-5, 1 Peter 1:5-7)  

Today, despite the various pressures we are experiencing from the outside, let us continue to choose faith in the Lord. Despite all the trials, the Lord is commanding us to love, which has eternal significance. (See 1 Corinthians 13:13) Let us continue to choose to fight for His love. (See 1 Timothy 6:12)
