His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 23:1-12

This morning’s verses talk about pride.

Are we proud of our abilities and the resources we can depend on to accomplish what we want? This is a dangerous position to be in, as it is Jesus Christ Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (See Hebrews 13:8). The value of wealth and how people think and behave can change over time, but the Lord doesn’t. Imagine a rock that we are standing upon that is unstable and moves from time to time. But the Rock of Jesus Christ is firm and unchanging (See Matthew 7:24–25, Psalm 62:2).

Today, let us choose to stand on what is unchanging, the Word of God. What is He leading us to stand on today?

May the Lord continue to bless you richly!
