This morning’s verse speaks of the consequences of our choices.
When we see the world, we may see many without Christ in their lives prosper, but are they truly prospering? Even those who call themselves Christians who seem to have all things together, are they really prospering? What we can see from today’s Scriptures is the spiritual and soul devastation because of the lack of trust in the Lord. Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Even if we are given more responsibilities from the Lord, what he rewards is essentially our obedience and faithfulness to what He has entrusted us with according to our abilities. In other words, the key here is how much we have grown in character. As we grow in our abilities to handle more responsibilities, we will be handed down more responsibilities. He is interested in seeing what He has entrusted us with doubled (See Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 19:11-27)
Today, let us focus on the internal character growth which has eternal significance (See 2 Corinthians 4:18, 2 Corinthians 3:18). The key here is not so much on what we see on the outside, such as status, fame, size of our organization, wealth, etc., but on the inside of our faithfulness to what He has entrusted us with double. What has He entrusted us with? How about our character?
May the Lord continue to bless you richly!
