His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 12:1-6

This morning’s verses talk about His comfort.

His Word comforts us. Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead comforts us (See Philippians 3:13). Listening to others first comforts us (See James 1:19). Looking back at the past only consumes the energy that could otherwise fuel us for the present and future, thereby releasing us from unnecessary burdens. Listening to others keeps us humble, helps us learn and grow, and creates an atmosphere of peace.

Today, let us choose to receive the Word of the Lord. It is the way to experience His comfort.
