His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 14:1-2

This morning’s verses talk about leadership.

The Lord promises that the believers are to be the head and not the tail (See Deuteronomy 28:13). We may not all take on the visible position of leadership, but we can all influence others to live the life the Lord desires. Whoever humbles himself will be exalted (See Matthew 23:12). If we choose to trust in the Lord, admitting our need to depend on Him, we will be uplifted. So it is essentially about our character becoming more like Christ (See 2 Corinthians 3:18). Does our character reflect the light of Christ in the darkness we live in?

Today, let us choose to focus on becoming more like Christ. Because at the end of the day, even if we are never noticed (See Matthew 6:18-21), what matters is our character of Christ released to impact more lives (See Matthew 5:14–16).
