His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 19:18

This morning’s verses talk about His authority.

The devil's spirit of destruction is under the authority of the Lord. Our minds, health, relationships, finances, career, ministry, etc can all be destroyed if we follow the ways of the world. But if we follow the Ways of the Lord, the devil will flee (See James 4:7). He is under our feet, crushed (See Romans 16:20). 

How can we find the Ways of the Lord? In the Scriptures. For example, His Spirit focuses. His Spirit forgets the past (See Philippians 3:13). His Spirit produces the fruit: peace (See Galatians 5:22-23). He leads us to the next assignment through will in our hearts (See Philippians 2:13). 

Today, let us assess whether we have given our lives over to the devil in any area, and choose to replace them with the Ways of the Lord.
