His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 2:1-11

This morning’s verses speak of His abundance.

The Lord speaks through Isaiah that His land will be filled with silver and gold. But there is something more valuable that will not perish - our faith in the Lord. (See 1 Peter 1:5-7)

The Scripture teaches us that faith is like gold that has been tested in a fire. Tests and trials test our faith in God. And we come to realize that it is worth more than gold. Our faith in God will not perish. In other words, the greater the tests and trials, the more proof we can gain that faith is worth much more than gold, having eternal value. 

Today, let our tests and trials prove that our faith is worth much more than gold, having eternal significance.
