His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 4:1

This morning’s verses speak of shame.

Are we ashamed of ourselves? As we are created in His image (See Genesis 1:27), as a Spirit being with a soul, clothed in a body (See 1 Thessalonians 5:23), there is absolutely no reason to be ashamed. Yet, we look at who we are by how we see ourselves in a physical mirror. In other words, because the Word encourages us to walk in the Spirit, we shall not fulfill the lust of shame (See Galatians 5:16).

Today, even if our minds may constantly bring shame upon ourselves, let us continue to choose to remember that we are created in His image in the Spirit. It may not be easy, but this is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (See John 14:6).
