This morning’s verses speak of self-righteousness.

What are we fighting for when it comes to righteousness? Do we get into arguments where we insist that we are right and the others are wrong? The Scriptures teach to work towards peace (See Romans 12:18). It teaches to be quick to listen and slow to speak (See James 1:19). It also teaches us to consider others better than ourselves (See Philippians 2:3). Love does not demand our own ways. (See 1 Corinthians 13:5) Jesus’ way is mercy. (See Matthew 5:41) Therefore, the Lord is not interested in whether we have the right answer but in how we deal His way in each situation. Are we ready to give away the right to others, prioritizing our attitude over gaining the right?

Today, let us continue to choose His way. His way is not necessarily winning physical battles, competitions, games, or debates, but in how we deal with every matter, His way.

May the Lord continue to bless you richly!
