His Word for Today: Book of Isaiah 8:9-10

This morning’s verses speak of God being with us.

Where do we need the Lord the most during the day? Is it in the area of our mind? There is certainly a battle going on in our minds for every one of us. Today’s verses promise that He will shatter our enemies. 

Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, and our battles are against the spiritual forces of wickedness. (See Ephesians 6:10-17) Have we let our past keep us from focusing on our present and the future? (See Philippians 3:13) His grace is in the now (See 2 Corinthians 6:2). 

Today, let us assess what is going on in our minds, where our battles are taking place. We need the sword of the Spirit to renew our minds (See Romans 12:2) to fight and experience victory over our enemies.
