This morning's verse talks about how the Lord speaks through people. When the sound of a trumpet was heard, one of the things that the Israelis must have noticed is the obedience to the Lord through chosen action. When we see our brothers and sisters in Christ obey through actions, we are encouraged to take the same path of obedience to the Lord. This is pure leadership at work, not by position but through example influencing others to do the same. (Ref John 13:13-17)
How can we preach the Gospel outside of church? One of the ways is to blow the trumpet - that is to let our actions do the preaching. In the marketplace, what is our attitude towards our colleagues, customers, people we come in contact with throughout the day? For some, we may be the only ones that non-believers will ever have the chance to get to know Christ. Definitely, we may not be perfect, but what is He speaking to us as we go about the daily operations?
Today, let us seek His guidance in terms of how we can serve others better in our daily lives. We may not have the opportunity to sit down, open the bible and share the Word from the Scriptures but we have the time. When we simply choose to obey His voice, people around us will see Christ in our lives at work.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
