Today's verse talks about the manna that was provided by the Lord daily. It fell at night with the dew. This means that the manna had to be gathered in the morning so that they are able to eat them.(Ref Exodus 16:21) But wouldn't you want to gather them earlier so that we can secure the manna for the day?
How do we start our day? Do we rise early in the morning so that we can actively engage with the Word of God hearing His voice? This is not a religious practice but an attitude to seek His will each day.
We all need certain hours for sleep each day. We can then schedule the time to go to bed. This requires discipline but produces good results. Israelis lived daily on manna. The Lord says that we shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.(Red Deuteronomy 8:3) What is He speaking to us today? We need to trust Him that His revelations come early in the morning. It was at about 3am in the morning that Jesus came walking on the water (Ref Matthew 14:25) where Peter responded by walking on the water as well. Miracles happen early in the morning.
Today, let us schedule our day so that we can rise early to hear His voice. How can we adjust our day so that we can do this?
May the Lord continue to richly bless you today.
