His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 12:1-8

Today's verse talks about how He speaks to us. He speaks to us directly, clearly but we need to have our hearts aligned with the Lord's.

Are there any areas in our minds or emotions that we don't feel true peace about, areas that we think we need to cope with for the rest of our lives, literally having given up on increasing joy and peace? I believe that the Lord wants us to have full joy and peace (Ref Galatians 5:22-23) in abundance overflowing, (Ref John 10:10, Ephesians 3:19) which means that He wants to deal with every area of our soul. 

If this is in the area of focused mind dealing with everyday distractions, we need to make conscious decisions intentional about concentrating on the one thing that we should be focused on. Different situations call for different Wisdom from the Lord to be applied. We may feel guilty about some things that took place in the past, ashamed etc., but there are times when all we need to do is to concentrate our mind on the present, forgetting what happened and look to the future. (Ref Philippians 3:13) 

Or sometimes, it may be the works of the devil attacking our minds with things that we don't need to ponder on. We just don't need to get into details. They are mere distractions that drive us to think about the details bearing no good fruit. We simply need to resist and withstand, and the devil who is the source of the attack, distractions, will flee, clearing our minds. (Ref James 4:7) 

Today, let us seek His guidance regarding areas of our mind that need to be renewed so that our hearts will be more aligned with the Lord's hearing His voice. And as our soul prospers, our behavior will prosper reflecting the character of God.(Ref 3 John 1:2)
