Today's verse talks about remembering what the Lord has done for us. There are times when we should remember what the Lord has done for us reflecting on His goodness. This is important when we are faced with challenges with future uncertainties trusting that He would come through for us. Or we can spend time in our day of rest to reflect on His goodness to be refueled so that we can go further with the Lord. But the key here is that He is leading us to do these so that He can prepare us to work through us to do a new thing. (Ref Isaiah 43:19)

He may have been speaking to us (Ref John 10:27) in certain ways but it is important to be open to hearing His voice in new ways. Have we ever experienced moments when we knew it was the right thing to do only to experience the sense of halting or delay to proceed to do it at the last moment? We may have even felt guilty about not doing it. We don't need to understand everything as trust is the only thing required. (Ref Proverbs 3:5) We can move in His timing. (Ref Ecclesiastes 3:1)

He may be asking us to take certain things slowly. There may be daily routines that we have been fulfilling each day only to delay the completion. He is asking us to rest our souls and bodies so that we can be refreshed. Rest is required so that we can be refueled for the next day. (Ref Genesis 2:2) He is about to do a new thing.

Today, let us continue to reflect on the good things He has done for us, and remember that He can work through us in new ways. We need to rest our souls and bodies from time to time for refreshment so that He can continue to work through us mightily.

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
