Today's verses talk about the Israelis being fearful of the judgement of God after seeing what the Lord had done but without thinking about what caused it. We all may be facing some kind of a challenge all throughout our lives but there must be something that we had sown into our hearts to see that specific fruit in our lives whether good or bad. There are challenges that confront us regardless of what we have sown but how about the ones that we caused? We can know ourselves by the fruits that we bear. (Ref Matthew 7:16)
Why are we so frustrated and offended by some people that we relate to? Anger towards sin is righteous but have we forgotten to think about their positives? (Ref Philippians 4:8)
Have we forgotten that our role is to serve but not to be served? We cannot control others to serve us because the Lord gave every man free will but we also have the free will to serve others. (Ref Matthew 20:28)
Also, what is our motive for service? Is it to gain approval or to simply follow the desires the Lord placed in our hearts? What is the will He placed in our hearts at such a time as now? It is important not to go past that will because we may then be doing something for a wrong reason. (Ref Philippians 2:13)
Additionally, have we forgotten to nourish our hearts with His Word or messages that feed ourselves? We love because He first loved us. (Ref 1 John 4:19)
Have we been condemning ourselves for who we are? Have we forgotten to believe and confess that we have the mind of Christ? We will grow to experience our mind being renewed more and more to be like Christ. (Ref Philippians 1:6, 1 Corinthians 2:16)
Today, let us assess the behaviors that we exhibit and seek His guidance in terms of what is causing it. It is important that we sow Godly seeds so that we reap His harvest for us. (Ref Galatians 6:7)
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
