His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 17:8-11

Today's verses talk about our trust and contentment in His plan for us. The Lord warned of Israelis' unbelief and lack of contentment concerning their situation, which could have turned for the better simply through belief in the Lord. (Ref Hebrews 3:19)

What are the areas we are facing or are in that we are not happy about? We may not have the role or position we would like to have and are not happy about it. But what we should do is to look around and see where He has positioned us, namely the blind spot. Has He not already given us what we are ready to take at such a time as this (Ref Esther 4:14) using the gifts and talents He has given us? He will not tempt us beyond what we are able, (Ref 1 Corinthians 10:13) which means that He releases what we are able to handle. This means that humility to accept where we are now is critical to knowing where we should be now. It may be others that need to mature to see His next step released but we can continue to work on ourselves to be prepared for the next stage in our walk with Christ. The Lord teaches us to rejoice always. (Ref  1 Thessalonians 5:16)

Today, let us be content with where we are now with trust in His plan for us.(Ref Hebrews 13:5)  We may not see our situation according to our ideas but trust Him to lead us through His destiny for us one step at a time. (Ref Psalm 37:23)
