His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 18:25-32

Today's verses talk about giving our best to the Lord. How and what are we giving to the Lord? 

The bible teaches us to do everything for the glory of God. (Ref 1 Corinthians 10:31) From when we rise each morning to the time we go to bed. If we were to give our best to the Lord each day, how should we start our day?  The obvious answer is to begin with the fellowship with the Lord Who matters the most to us. What is He speaking to us this morning? He speaks to us through impressions because we know all things. (Ref 1 John 2:20)

What does the quality of work look like in terms of housework, our roles and responsibilities as spouses, parents, our work, church ministries, health, finances etc.? It is important that we continue to do our very best to grow in these areas. Is the percentage of our offering on the increase giving more of ourselves for the Kingdom? (Ref Philippians 1:6) Giving our very best also means that we are stretching each day to give our best. If there is not a stretch, very likely, we are compromising. Just like our muscles don't grow if we don't challenge ourselves with heavier weights, stretch is a necessity for growth. 

Today, let us assess where we are in terms of quality of service rendered to the Lord. We are to grow each day giving our very best for Him.
