His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 19:11-13

Today's verses talk about life. Christ came so that we may have an abundant life from the spirit, soul and onto body. (Ref 1 Thessalonians 5:23) What is the key to an abundant life?

One of the critical areas is our soul which is the mind, will and emotion. We have the mind of Christ. (Ref 1 Corinthians 2:16) This means that no matter what goes in our mind, we have this promise. We can experience a wonderful sense of rest. In other words, we don't have to fight to earn this promise. We can simply receive through believing. (Ref John 6:29)

But how do we deal with distractions? Are we unconsciously, without knowing, trying to deal with weak areas of our lives? We may still be trying to deal with our issues by our own strength without casting those cares onto Him going through them throughout the day in our minds. We must make the choice of casting our cares upon Him because we cannot deal with all of life's issues by ourselves. Christ came not to be served but to serve. He is waiting for us to rely on Him. (Ref Matthew 20:28, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22)

Today, let us choose to cast our cares on Him. Writing the cares on a paper can help us cast those cares upon Him as revelations. (Ref Habakkuk 2:2)
