His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 20:1

Today's verses talk about the final year of the Israelis' journey in the wilderness. We may not sense physically that we are close to the breakthrough but we may be from His sight. We should not give up on doing what is right. (Ref Galatians 6:9)

Like Jesus when He was a carpenter, we may still be in the stage of preparation. Being a carpenter was not His destiny but He was one until the age of 30. (Ref Mark 6:3, Luke 3:23) In other words, our final stage of our journey may be in a different area. Like the Scriptures teach us, if we are faithful with what we are given now, He will lead us to His next stage of our destiny, His calling on our life. (Ref Luke 19:17)

Today let us continue to live out the abundant life He has planned for us. (Ref John 10:10) One of the fruits of the Spirit is faithfulness. (Ref Galatians 5:22-23) We may not see the whole picture but our journey continues until we  go and be with the Lord. (Ref Philippians 1:6)
