His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 21:33-35

Today's verses talk about solving issues in our own strength. We need to be very careful about unnoticing the choices we make by our own strength. This is why it is very important to be intentional about casting our cares on the Lord. (Ref 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22) 

Balak seemed to be afraid of being taken over by the Israelis and what he did was to deal with the issue by his own strength using ungodly means. Christ is the way, the truth and the life. (Ref John 14:6) His way is the only way for victory. It is our pride that may not be so evident that gets in the way of fully experiencing Christ. (Ref James 4:6) We may think pridefully that we can deal with the issues.

Today, let us continue to have a conversation with the Lord throughout the day casting our cares on Him. We can then seek His guidance during our quiet time in our prayer closets. It is important that we choose humility over pride.
