Today's verses talk about rebellion against God. Those that rebelled against Moses who was the primary spokesperson for the Lord, were judged by God. In what ways are we rebelling against God?
Pride is one of the ways that can keep us from submitting ourselves to the Lord. (Ref Proverbs 16:18) If we can recognize pride at our conscience level, it is easier to deal with because we can recognize them. But the challenge is when our pride is hidden from our conscience as a blind spot. When we see a fruit of ungodly behavior, unwillingness to accept certain Scriptures in the bible, may be what is driving us. One of the reasons this happens may be because of the long years of habits we have been accustomed to, and have become even comfortable with, having developed numbness in this specific area. It may take some time to understand the root causes of our behavior, but it is very important that we continue to seek the Lord because whoever seeks finds Him. (Ref Matthew 7:8)
Today, let us continue to assess ourselves in terms of our behavior patterns. What are the areas that are not bearing good fruit, that we have even given up on, justifying that we are not perfect? The Lord wants us to experience His abundant life, He died to give us. (Ref John 10:10)
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
