His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 26:12-56

Today's verses talk about using lot to divide His land among the Israelis. 

In what areas have we chosen to take matters into our own hands? The Lord may not be able to control the outcome of the lot, but He wants us to let go of the outcome and focus on obedience to the Lord. It is our heart that matters. 

Today, let us think of areas we have not released from our own hands into His. He wants us to come to Him to experience rest. As soon as we feel that anything has become a burden to us, let us choose to release them to Him. His burden is light. (Ref Matthew 11:28-30)
