His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 27:15-23

Today's verses talk about transition. Is the Lord calling us to take on the next role of leadership or to hand off our leadership to the next person?

However, the perfect leadership as shown in the example of Jesus Who was labelled a criminal and was crucified, essentially did not hold a position while on earth. In other words, leadership at the very core, does not require a position but influence. Through His leadership and the obedience of the believers, the Gospel of Jesus continues to be preached 2,000 years from His crucifixion. We see the influence of Christ daily through the believers. In other words, like Christ, believers are all called to lead in varying degrees no matter what positions we are assigned to. (Ref 1 John 4:17)

Today, let us inquire of the Lord how we can exercise Christ's leadership wherever we are placed. Positions will be given to further the work of the Kingdom.
