His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 33:17-37

This morning's verses continue to talk about taking steps. What is the new step to take today?

Abundant life (Ref John 10:10) that Christ gives us is not in the future. It is actually today. He gives us the Word on a daily basis. (Ref Matthew 6:11) We may wish we were in a certain stage in life which we may call the abundant life but we can experience the abundant life today through the choices we make. This means that no matter how terrible the life we live may seem to us, we can turn this around by changing the way we think and live out the abundant life.  (Ref Romans 12:1-2) Even if we are faced with financial challenges, we can choose to live the life of victory.  (Ref Philippians 4:13) In other words, abundant life is not about the external circumstance, financial situation etc., that we are in but about how we face the situation daily through the Word of God led by the Holy Spirit, (Ref John 10:27) and the fruit may not necessarily mean an increase in income, promotion at work but the peace on the inside revealed on the outside which we were able to experience by trusting in Him in the midst of difficult circumstances. (Ref Isaiah 26:3)

Today, what has He spoken to us to do? Let us give all of ourselves to Christ Who died for us so that we can live the abundant life. (Ref John 10:10)
