His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 34:6-15

This morning's verses talk about the rewards we receive from the Lord.  Do we give ourselves room for the Lord so that we can receive His blessings in full? In other words, what is our motive when we serve the Lord? Do we serve in order to impress others so that we can justify the values of our existence? 

The Scriptures teach us that we will receive our rewards in full on earth if our motive is to gain the approval of others. (Ref Matthew 6:2) Our focus should be to follow His voice and take action accordingly. (Ref John 10:27) We will then receive our rewards in full at an eternal level. 

Today, let us focus on hearing His voice and action in the presence of the audience of One. No matter how hard we may try, we may not be able to gain the full approval and respect of others anyway, whose choices we make are outside of our control.
