His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 7:18-23

How do we know if what we started is worth continuing? The Holy Spirit would let us know if it is from God and not just a thought or an emotion that psyched us up just for that moment. It is an inner knowing, (Ref 1 John 2:20) a quiet, firm, solid, persistent voice from the inside that is not physically audible, that leads and encourages us to continue to move forward. It may not make sense in our mind but our role is to believe and not to lean on our own understanding. (Ref Proverbs 3:5)

For example, our bank account balance may go lower and lower, urging us to stop giving, offering, investing and moving forward with our calling from God before we see a breakthrough to see our finances be restored and go up once again. Our role is to listen and hear His voice and obey. (Ref John 10:27) When we choose to become god and control the situation to solve the issue, we will lose our peace. We will feel anger, frustrations, anxiety and all kinds of stress. Our role is to trust and believe. He will do the impossible through us because He is in us. (Ref Ephesians 3:20) We need to do our part to take action in partnership with Him. (Ref James 2:17)

This means that we are to remove what was only temporary, a momentary surge in our emotions that we felt like it was from God and focus on the one thing that stays with our heart. We don't need  to do everything but focus on the one thing that is necessary.(Ref Luke 10:42) He is inviting us to rest. (Ref Matthew 11:28)

Today, let us stay with what He is leading us to do, and remove the things that were only temporary. But be sure to check if what He is leading us to do aligns with the Word of God in the bible. He delights to see His servants prosper.(Ref Psalm 35:27)
