His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 8:20-22

Today's verse continues to talk about the wave offering. Offering is waved before the Lord by the priests then consumed by the priests.(Numbers 6:20) Where is our heart concerning all of our possessions? Are they ours or Lord's?

Interestingly, God is teaching us to multiply our possessions, not "humbly" keep them and not do anything with them. Are we multiplying our resources such as finances? One of Jesus' teachings is to put the money in the bank to grow with interest. Financial investment is one of the ways we can grow our finances. Doing business is another way of growing our possessions. (Ref Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 19:11-27)

Although, there are seasons in which we are led to use our savings that we stored (Ref Proverbs 6:8) but this is more of a wilderness mindset where we have just enough to survive and get by. Lord led the Israelis to store up for themselves the food for the seventh day on the sixth day. (Ref Exodus 16:29)

Where are we in this season? What is He leading us to do with our resources? He will speak to us about what we should do with our resources in the season we are in.

Today, let us reflect on how we are to use His resources. He wants us to ultimately increase and be fruitful so that we can be a blessing to others. (Ref Genesis 12:2)
