This morning's verse talks about what is appropriate as their responsibilities as they age. How does this apply to our walk with Christ in the last days? (Ref Matthew 24:14) We walk through different seasons (Ref Genesis 8:22) with the opportunity to sow and grow into the future seasons. What are we doing now for the next season? (Ref Galatians 6:7)
We may be in a season when we are using our savings to sustain our current living. (Ref Exodus 16:29) What is important is that we continue to sow into the future for the harvest at the right time. Are we sowing into the future in the area of our mind, will, emotions, finances, relationships, career, ministry etc.? Whatever we give, we shall receive abundantly. (Ref Luke 6:38) Joseph's strategy from the Lord was to save for future famine in the season of abundance, which he then sold to sustain the countries in the season of famine. (Ref Genesis 41:56-57)
Today, let us reflect on the season that we are in right now. We cannot avoid being in the sowing season. Even Jesus was led to the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil.(Ref Matthew 4:1) Let us humbly accept where we are to prepare for the next season of walk with Christ. How can we use the resources the Lord has entrusted to us for multiplication? (Ref Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 19:11-27)
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
