Today's verse speaks to offering ourselves as living sacrifice to the Lord. How do we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice? First by renewing our minds. (Ref Romans 12:1-2)

When we offer ourselves to the Lord, we are never perfect but the attitude counts. The focus should be on continuous growth. What can we step out in faith to do today to go one step further to fulfillment of the God given destiny? Life is truly about how far we can go rather than how perfect we are now to take on the current challenge.

There are many ways the Lord would speak to us. We may be wondering why we don't have peace about proceeding with certain things only to find peace when we have actually stepped out. When I visualize the situation Peter was in when He walked on water, although he heard from the Lord, there must have been fear or doubt in him emotionally that kept him from having peace in his soul. Despite the fear or doubt, he stepped out to experience peace with Jesus in the super natural walking on the water. (Ref Matthew 14:22-31) In this instance, Peter must have either known that it was Jesus speaking to him (Ref 1 John 2:20) or had an impression. (Ref 1 Kings 19: 12-13)

Today, let us seek guidance from the Lord regarding our areas of growth. What is He speaking to us today to take the next step? It may not be as terrifying as what Peter faced before walking on water but it may be as simple as confessing a verse in the bible on our position that we are more than victorious through Christ that leads us to experience rest. (Ref Romans 8:37)

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
