Today's verse talks about the fruitfulness of the Lord. What is fruitfulness to us? In the promised land, there was such a large fruit of grape that the spies carried it on a pole between two of them.
It is important that we move towards seeing fruits that will last in His eyes. (Ref John 15:16) What are good fruits in His sight? Whatever we can see are only temporal and what we cannot see are eternal. (Ref 2 Corinthians 4:18) Our character is one of the fruits that will last. What are we doing each day to develop our character? Character so rich in fruit is what the Lord wants to see in the promised land.
The Holy Spirit would tell us areas He wants us to grow to step into the next season of life. We may be in a season of dryness but it is in this season that we sow into our hearts the Word of God so that we can experience the rich harvest in the promised land. (Ref Galatians 6:7)
Today, let us seek the Lord areas of growth in our character. If it is in the area of focus, we need to focus on the moment being intentional about concentration doing away with distractions that include shame, past etc.. (Ref Philippians 3:13) If it is in the area of dealing with attacks in our mind, we need to continue to choose to resist the ungodly thoughts because he will then flee enabling us to experience freedom and joy. (Ref James 4:7)
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
