This morning's verses talk about first fruit offering to the Lord and the Lord testing our hearts.
Jesus was His Father's first fruit (Ref 1 Corinthians 15:23) and Isaac was Abraham's. Essentially, what He wants from us is not the actual tangible offering but our intangible offering of our hearts. Is our heart that of full surrender and obedience to the Lord? (Ref Genesis 22:12)
In other words, He may not be expecting us to do the actual service, the work, the job but He is testing our heart's motives. Although He may release us from the actual work at the very last minute, that is His side of things to speak to us to stop. On our end, we should choose to continue to offer our hearts and minds to the Lord.
Today, let us seek His guidance in terms of how He wants to test our hearts. This may be a test before a breakthrough to change the course of our lives, a new vision, dream etc.. (Ref Genesis 22:16-17)
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
