His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 29:12-40

This morning's verses talk about His specific guidance and our actions in response. What is the state of our hearts when He speaks to us? 

He may be speaking to us about something and we may do the talking that we would do but do not follow up with actions. In this case, one of the reasons may be because we have not understood the value of what we said we would do at the very core led by His Spirit. (Ref John 10:27)

At times, this is shown when we demand others to do certain things but don't do them ourselves. If we demand others to use headsets when listening to music but we listen without, we are simply being self-centered. We are not concerned about keeping the place quiet but more about our own comfort so that we can do whatever we want to do. Our motives hold the key. (Ref Hebrews 4:12) When our motives are aligned with the Lord's, we will take actions accordingly and others will see our examples to follow. (Ref 1 Peter 5:3)

Today, let us seek His strength to soften our hearts so that we can be more receptive to His voice. When we understand the value of what He says and do them, (Ref Matthew 13:12, James 2:17) He will supply us with more wisdom to take on more responsibilities. (Ref Matthew 25:23)
