His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 32:25-42

This morning's verses talk about the choice of the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben to settle on the East side of the Jordan river, which was outside of His promised land. 

They physically crossed the Jordan river to the West side into the promised land in order to help Joshua conquer and settle but later returned to settle on the East side.  In what areas have we chosen to be stubborn to hold on to what the flesh desires rather than His Spirit desires? What are the areas we need to release so that we can receive what the Lord has in store for us? The Lord prunes so that we can be even more fruitful. (Ref John 15:2)

Today, let us seek His guidance in terms of what we need to let go that we have been holding so tightly to. Is it time to stay late at night only to have less sleep? Is it more food intake than is required? We can choose to manage our health His way. We need to make the wise choice to make room for the Lord to work through us.
