His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 32:6-15

This morning's verses talk about delay. Why are matters taking longer than it should?

According to the stories of Israelis in the wilderness, it was their unbelief. For the Israelis, it could have been approximately an 11 day journey, (Ref Deuteronomy 1:2) when it actually took 40 years. In what areas have we let unbelief creep into our lives? We can asses the situation by seeing the fruits we exhibit. (Ref Matthew 7:16) Why are we so frustrated? Is this because things are not going our ways and we may be shameful about them? This may be because we have not laid down ourselves before the Lord in some areas of our lives. If we trust in His ways, we don't need to get frustrated. Instead, we would have peace. (Ref Isaiah 26:3)

Today, let us assess areas where we feel are not bearing good fruit and ask Him to lead us to understand what the root cause is because He wants to deal with issues from the roots up. (Ref Mark 11:20-21)
