His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 7:42-47

Today's Scripture moves on to the sixth day of offering. What keeps us from being our best each day so that we can deal with all of life's issues that come at us each day? God is expecting us to fulfill His plan for us each day.

One of the areas that we deal with is regrets and shame condemning ourselves that we did something terrible. Others don't even care much but because we feel like we didn't perform or behave up to our standard, we end up attacking ourselves and going through them over and over again in our minds staying negative emotionally and behaving negatively as well. But this is certainly not how God wants us to experience because there is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ. (Ref Romans 8:1)

One of the ways to deal with this emotional attack that we have chosen to do to ourselves is simply resist them. Although there are issues of bitterness, unforgiveness etc. that need to be resolved that also come into play that can further complicate the issue, through resisting the emotions of regrets and shame, our minds can come to a place of rest and peace. (Ref Ephesians 6:13)

We may have learned about staying positive by leaving the things left behind looking ahead to the future which is from the Scriptures (Ref Philippians 3:13) and it does work to experience freedom, but we may still be carrying something that we don't seem to be able to let go. This is the time when withstanding where you are as the attacks come at you in your mind is the way to prosperity of our soul. Jesus at the cross, basically did not do anything to escape the situation using His mighty power but chose to withstand receiving all of the abuse and attacks becoming even sin yet eventually experiencing victory after three days having been raised by the Father. (Ref Hebrews 12:1-2)

Today, let us seek His guidance in terms of what is keeping our mind, emotions restless. Christ is inviting us to experience His rest. (Ref Matthew 11:28) We may have tried everything but they don't seem to be working. It may be the time when choosing to resist, withstand from where we are right now today can bring about miracles in our soul experiencing the attacks that originated from the devil dissolve as they try to make it into our minds.
