His Word for Today

This morning’s verses speak of His justice. God is just. There are consequences to ungodly choices, and He repays them accordingly. We may have been busy thinking about how we can repay those who wronged us, but that is His matter. We are to keep no record of wrongs (See 1 Corinthians 13:5), leaving the past behind (See Philippians 3:13), and continue to fight to choose to release His love. (See 1 Timothy 6:12) Today, let us continue to choose love because the Lord is just.

This morning’s verse talks about being strong and courageous. Even though the Lord revealed to Joshua how the Israelis would be after conquering the promised land, He still fought the good fight of faith (See 1 Timothy 6:12), focused on His assignment for him. This may not come naturally after getting out of bed in the morning, when we are offended by others’ rude, disrespectful behaviours, we don’t get our way, doors that we want to see open remain closed etc..
