This morning’s verse talks about being strong and courageous.

Even though the Lord revealed to Joshua how the Israelis would be after conquering the promised land, He still fought the good fight of faith (See 1 Timothy 6:12), focused on His assignment for him. Because all things work together for good (See Romans 8:28), we can leave the rest to the Lord and focus our hearts on the assignment at hand. We may wish we had a better job or opportunity, but, like Joshua, we can choose to be strong and courageous in character as we fight the battles in front of us. What matters is our character development, learning to become more and more like Christ (See 2 Corinthians 3:18). Joshua was given the opportunity to grow in the areas of strength and courage.

Today, let us assess the areas of our growth. Are we choosing to trust the Lord to be strong and courageous? Whatever we are facing today may make us feel impossible, but we can choose to trust the Lord to be strong and courageous to fight the battles we are facing today.

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
