This morning’s verses continue to speak of His assignments for us.

This morning’s section says that Moses’ gift of prophecy, signs, and wonders equals that of no one in Israel. In other words, this was his role in His plan, and even if the prophetic gift is not as strong as Moses’ does not mean that those Israelis are not as valuable as Moses in the sight of God, as He does not show favoritism of one over the other. (See Acts 10:34)

Let us not compare ourselves with others about His callings on our lives. Because we have fewer manifestations of God released through us, resulting in less influence, impact does not mean that we do not have a role to play in the Kingdom. We may not become famous or influential like Moses, but we have a purpose to fulfill during our lifetime on this earth. For some of us, this may be a difficult truth to accept.

Today, let us choose to humbly accept the calls on our lives from the Lord. The Scriptures promise that He will fulfill our hearts’ desires. (See Proverbs 10:24) We don’t need to be disappointed even if our desires do not lead us to become the heroes of faith whom we follow.

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
