His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 34:1-8

This morning’s verses speak of His assignments for us.

What if His promised plan for us did not include ourselves? Moses saw His vision for the Israelis’ future, but was told by the Lord not to go to the promised land. It was a better place for Moses in the natural, but He was led to an even better place at age 120. Are we bound to what we would like to accomplish on this earth, not trusting in His everlasting plans for us? If this is the case, we need to do a self-assessment concerning our motives. 

Today, let us choose to see our lives from an eternal perspective. We may not be able to accomplish as much as our spiritual faith heroes of this generation, but we can stay within our boundaries and fulfil 100% of what He has planned for each of us. There is a better place waiting for each one of us after we have fulfilled His call for us when He says to us, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (See Matthew 25:23)
