His Word for Today

This morning’s verse talks about our security. What or who is our security? Believer’s security should be in Christ because He is our Shepherd. (See Psalm 23:1) The Bible says that He gives us the power to get wealth. (See Deuteronomy 8:18) He is instructing us to use our own hands for provision, even to bless others. This morning’s verse talks about marriage.  How important is marriage to us? The Lord places marriage as a high priority in our lives. When we marry our spouse, we become one with our spouse. This morning’s verses talk about the Lord turning other people’s curses into our blessings.  If we belong to Christ, all of God’s promises to Abraham belong to the believers as well. In other words, His promise that He turns curses into blessings are for all of the believers to receive. We are Abraham’s descendants. Within the family structure, this would be father, mother, son, daughter etc.. What are the Spiritual gifts the Lord has entrusted to us to use for the Body of Christ? Are there any areas in our lives where we have rushed to get things done knowing that it is not the right way to do it? Is it about ignoring interruptions so that we can be focused on fulfilling the initial objective?
