This morning’s verses speak of the Lord’s blessings over His people.

Are we satisfied because of His blessings? He has also already given us His promises in the spiritual realm that can be released into the natural.

The Scriptures promise that He will fulfill the desires of the righteous. (See Proverbs 10:24) When we assess where we are now, we have the opportunity to be grateful for where we are now with the Lord (See 1 Thessalonians 5:18) because He has given us the desires of our hearts. (See Psalm 37:4)

However, there may be areas where we sense the voice of the Holy Spirit telling us that there is something more in store for us. What areas in our character need to grow to experience more of Christ in our daily lives? Whatever is unseen has eternal significance that is worth giving all of our lives to because it is forever and remains. (See 2 Corinthians 4:18) And to set our expectations rightly with the Lord, we may not experience all of the desires of our hearts in our generation in a tangible sense. (See  Hebrews 11:13) But if we choose to invest in our character growth to become more like Him, the value remains even after we leave our lives on this earth.

Today, let us first thank the Lord that we have the desires of our hearts. We may sense that there is something more in store. We may not need to change our occupation to get to the next level, but simply by obedience to His instructions, which have eternal significance, our character. Are we looking forward to what lies ahead in love, both to ourselves from the Lord, and to others through us from the Lord? (See 1 Corinthians 13:5)

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
