His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 32:48-52

This morning’s verses speak of our assignments from the Lord.

What if what we wanted was not His plan for us to experience in our generations on this earth? For some of us, this may be a disappointment. But there is still hope because we can choose to experience His love and release His love towards others wherever we are. (See Romans 5:3-5) Love is what has eternal significance.  (See 1 Corinthians 13:13) Our achievements on this earth that are visible are not to be taken to heaven with us. (See 2 Corinthians 3:18)

Today, even if our lives on this earth seem destined to fail according to the standard of this world’s expectations, we all have the opportunity to choose what matters in the long haul. If we were so focused on success during our time on this earth, having our ways to get what we want, this may have been our blind spots to experience the highest level of success we all have the opportunity to experience, which will continue forever: love.
