His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 17:14-17

This morning’s verses talk about not looking back fulfilling the God given destiny.

Do we look back at the past with regrets? There is nothing we can do about the past. We can only choose to go as far as we can following the guidance of the Lord. (Ref Philippians 1:6) We may feel like we are no longer young with only a few years to go in our lives. We may be under pressure to go as far as we can. But behold - even Jesus with only three years of ministry on this earth, did not strive to get everything done - He chose to do only what He saw His Father do. (Ref John 5:19) Therefore, what is He speaking to you to do today? Following Him should be the focus and not doing whatever we want to do apart from Him. We can pass the baton to the next generation to fulfill the call on our lives. (Ref John 14:12)

Today, let us continue to move forward to fulfill His call on our lives. But we cannot do everything by ourselves. To whom is He leading us to pass the baton on this earth?
