His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 17:2-7

This morning’s devotional talks about the Lord commanding us to remove all evil from our lives. 

We may misunderstand what is Godly from ungodly because of our lack of knowledge of what is Godly. We can see the Godly, perfect life lived through Jesus on this earth. (Ref John 14:9) He didn’t let emotional discomfort from living out the purpose He had on this earth - to die for the sins of humanity (Ref Hebrew 12:1-2) so that by grace and through faith, humanity can receive eternal life. (Ref Ephesians 2:8)

Today, let us ask the Lord what is holding us back from living the Godly life. It may be discomfort. We can continue to move forward to live out the abundant life Christ died to give us. (Ref John 10:10)
