His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 19:14

This morning’s verse talks about boundaries. 

How far can we go in terms of our walk with Christ? As far as to the point where we are aligned with His plans for us. The Scriptures teach us the boundaries we are to stay within. 

In the world, common sense may teach us not to step into other people’s business but the Bible teaches us to love your neighbor showing concern for others. (Ref Mark 12:30-31) If the Spiritual gift the Lord has given us is not in pastoring, does this mean that we should forfeit governing our household as fathers or mothers? His power is made perfect in our weakness (Ref 2 Corinthians 12:9) and the Scripture commands us to desire the Spiritual gifts. (Ref 1 Corinthians 14:1) This means that the boundaries the Scriptures talk about is not about creating a wall between others but walking in the Spirit of Christ. 

Today, let us focus on continuing to follow Christ staying within the commandments of the Scriptures.
