This morning's verses talk about experiencing more of Christ enlarging our territories.

How do we take on more responsibilities? Love the Lord and obey Him. What is He leading us to do today? Our obedience to the Lord does not stop when we have obeyed one commandment. We have the opportunity to continue to grow in obedience. (Ref Philippians 1:6)

Are we persistent about what we want to do rather than what He wants us to do? Unlike Moses, Joshua took on the vision Moses received from the Lord to enter the promised land. (Ref Deuteronomy 31:1-6) King David had to let go of the desire to build His House and release it to King Solomon, his son. (Ref 1 Chronicles 22:6-10) Joseph followed King Pharaoh under his leadership. (Ref Genesis 41:41) We don’t necessarily need to be the one receiving the vision but we can be the successor or follower to fulfill the vision. We can choose to be a part of His plan. Ultimately, what matters is our hearts’ motive to obey Him. (Hebrews 4:12)

Is fear keeping us from being focused on what He is leading us to do? Because we may be so concerned about what if the plan didn’t work out, we may be so consumed with preparing for plan B and C in addition to the initial plan A. The Lord is interested in our motives. The Bible teaches us to do something useful with our own hands. It may not be the time to wait but to take action to use the gifts the Lord has given us. (Ref Ephesians 4:28)

Have we chosen to stay focused on the task at present? The Lord is interested in our single mindedness, to focus on one thing rather than trying to deal with all kinds of distractions. (Ref Philippians 3:13)

Today, let us continue to grow in our obedience to the Lord. What areas can we grow so that we can take on more responsibilities from the Lord?

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
