His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 21:18-21

This morning’s verses talk about honoring our parents.

The Bible teaches that honoring parents leads to prosperity including long life. (Ref Ephesians 6:2-3) This may not make sense in our minds but this is what the Creator says. The Bible also teaches us to trust the Lord with all of our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. (Ref Proverbs 3:5-6)

Today, let us seek His guidance concerning our relationships with our parents. Are we obedient to what the Lord is leading us to do? What areas can we improve and grow?
