His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 22:11

This morning’s verse continues to talk about holiness.

What sets us apart from darkness as lights in this world? Focus on the present. There is nothing we can do about the past but there is something we can do about the future which is built on what we do at this point in time (Ref Philippians 3:13), now. It is now that we receive and experience His grace. (Ref 2 Corinthians 6:2) He gives us today, our daily bread to fulfill His call for today. (Ref Matthew 6:11) We reap what we sow (Ref Galatians 6:7) now, today.

Today, let us sharpen our focus for now. There may be distractions around us or in our minds but we have been given the opportunity to focus. We can write the distractions down on a notepad and seek His guidance for them later in the day.
