This morning’s verses talk about removing evil from our lives.
How can we remove evil from our lives? One of the ways is to focus on doing what is right - walking in the Spirit. (Ref Galatians 5:16) What is He speaking to us to do today?
How do we know that we are walking in His Spirit? We experience the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Ref Galatians 5:22-23)
What are the thorns that are left in our flesh? We may experience mental torments, agonies that seem to be left attended but it is one of the ways the Lord works perfectly through our weaknesses through our dependence on Him. The Bible teaches even to take pleasure in them. In other words, we need to embrace hardships. We can then experience peace in our souls as fruit. The attack may be a sign that the devil wants to overtake us but he has no way to do so as he has already been defeated. Hallelujah! (Ref 2 Corinthians 12:7-10)
Today, what is He leading us to do? As we increase our focus, the devil may continue to attack us in our minds but we will experience joy and peace as we depend on Him. What agony or torment can we take pleasure in today because we are the target of the enemy as a mighty servant of God?
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
